what happened over in the N Ireland x Portugal game. I saw on the match tracker Postiga got a red and Ronaldo a yellow back to back, but don't know why.

Never actually cared losing to Belgium, cracking team - I'll be rooting for them in Brazil.

Mmm, still I don't find our style of football very thrilling. We're a solid side with a couple of very good players (Hazard, Kompany, De Bruyne,...), but we don't play fabulous football. I think our main strength lies in our excellent team spirit and in our realism. We'll rather defend the 0-1 than go for the 0-2. Maybe a bit off the mark, but I find our current squad to be comparable with Italy.

Still, I'm overjoyed we'll FINALLY participate to a major tournament (I daresay it now). After 12 years.

The current Belgian team is better on paper than the current Dutch team. The talent they have is incredible. I will be rooting for them too.

Seldom being this little disappointed after a loss. Finland - Spain 0-2. The team played brilliantly, rare to see Spain going on the defensive even for a while, and Finland really surprised the Spaniards, but they are simply just way too good.

But I am. I'm just not following the press hype, making Belgium the new Spain/ Brazil/ Germany...We are below that level. As I said, we have a solid, realistic team with a couple of world-class players that can make the difference. But most games I've seen this year (and I've seen them all), we didn't play thrilling, out-of-this-world football. We just didn't.

We drew Estonia 2-2 yesterday :/ Too bad, if we had won that game and the next one against Andorra, we would have held the world record for most WCQ won in a row. Up until yesterday, we were the only remaining team in Europe that hadn't dropped any points. Estonia literally had two shots on target and they scored both times. That's football, I guess.

Normally I would have loved a Belgium vs. Netherlands game at the WC but not this time, when our team is still in a rebuilding phase while theirs is in its prime. If Belgium wins, we'll be hearing about it for decades

I love Belgium and have rooted for the "Red Devils" for years but come on, it's nowhere near the top 10 in the world. It has done nothing so far to deserve that status. When Belgium consistently beats other major footballing powers, when it qualifies for more than one tournament in a row and when it gets far in those tournaments (at least QF), then we may start calling it a top 10 footballing nation.
