wow, intense game. I feel lucky the US got out with a point. What, did Mex have 16 corners? US didn't really get a good shot off, but did a good job in the mid field for stretches of the game. the central D was really strong.

The US were extremely lucky to get a point out of it but I will take it. Injuries and having 2 defenders on a yellow early on with as much as the Mexicans dive they did pretty good to remain with 11 on the pitch.

Goal.com said Gonzalez had a massive game in central defense. I think he's on his way to starting in Brazil (assuming we make it) and becoming one of the best US defenders ever. And Goodson will probably start next to him.

Yeah, Gonzalez was great, but the whole back 4 were really solid (Cameron, Beslar, and Beasley), and Guzan is playing well. Klinsman has some tough choices coming up on defense. Beasley took a beating instead of giving a beating like the other three, but he was solid, although a bit scary at times.
