Thoughts?
It concerns me that so many US starters are out with injuries.
But, Mexico has not looked good.
But, which team has more to prove, so will really bring it?

I think its Mexico's game but I hope not. I would like to see the Mexicans get buried.

Lots of injurys, that definitely does not help. While Friday's game was crazy, I think it brought the team together. Too bad Jermaine Jones is out, he played his best game so far Friday. Edu can fill that role.

I am pretty concerned about tonight, the US defense still makes major errors which mexico's wings will jump on. The US central D is young, which is good for athleticism, but not decision making.

An early goal by the US would go a long way. Altidore needs to play well and get some shots off.

Mexico will be playing hard, they are in a tough spot and need points tonight, so they will be aggressive and the crowd will definitely be hostile.

I think we could eek out a draw at Azteca (a trip I nearly made). Mexico is an arrogant side and we have the momentum. Conditions are always poor but sucking in the frosty Rocky Mountain air on Friday was worthwhile prep.

Realistically a draw is what we should hope for though a second win in a row down there would be grand. I have a few friends down there and would like them to witness history. I think this game ends 1-1 or 2-1 in favor of Mexico.

Actually, I'll still be in Mexico today, though, just across the border. Dental appointment prior to the game. I'll be sporting my AO t-shirt.

Mexico-USA World Cup qualifier is front page news throughout | Soccer y Fútbol | a Chron.com blog

Does that mean I may have to dodge baggies filled with urine when I drive through the Mexican area of town?

I don't have a good feeling about this one. I think Mexico is going to be as hungry as they've been in awhile and the US is shorthanded and still struggling to find form.

I'd love to be wrong though...
