Colombia

Next Ecuador. Next Chile.

Colombia has been playing great futbol the last year and a half, with Pekerman as a DT.
Ecuador is ok, so is Chile. Even Venezuela is better than Uruguay right now.

Colombia could make it far in 2014, maybe even semis.

Thanks

I'll be sure to check out this new Columbian side. I was actually watching a match recently were I'm fairly certain Ecuador scored three or four second half goals against Paraguay and I was impressed with what I saw.

The only reservation I have is that apart from Brazil and Argentina South American sides tend to flatter to deceive once they enter a major tournament. Columbia had a good side before with Carlos Valderrama but never fulfilled their true potential in a major tournament.

However with the tournament based in Brazil i'm looking for a South American side to back as an outsider. Chile have really impressed me and their under 21 sides play with real flair and ability. They have some great talent.

Ecuador however are major outsiders and in the true underdog spirit I think I may back Ecuador in the 2014 WC tournament.

New Zealand will improve on going undefeated in 2010 and take the next step to world cup champions.
