Pfff, Neymar: I just don't like the guy. His blasé attitude, his play acting, his frustrated challenge injuring Abate,...
It's a great football player for sure - but give me Messi any day of the week.

About the game: Brazil scores very easily, which is an enormous asset (although at least one goal was clearly off-side). Still, I'm not too overwhelmed with the way they play. Haven't seen too many great combinations and half of their players are mediocre.
About Italy: why on earth did Prandelli leave Pirlo and De Rossi on the bench?? And why did they only go for it in the second half? Oh well.

I belive Pirlo and rossi were suspended due to yellow card accumulation.

Italy is no longer the same as from 7-8 years ago.

I miss Cannavaro and Maldini .

It is more than the players. The Juve defense is among the best on the continent, and it is the core of the Italian defense. Prandelli is very forward thinking and many of (we) Italian fans have been upset at his seeming disinterest in that side of the game, among other things.

More worrying than that to me is his seeming retardedness in player selections. Look back to the last Euros; in the group stages we outplay Spain, should have won the match. In the finals he completely changes his formation and players, goes another route and we get handled with relative ease. Look at this tournament - continuing to go to the well with Giacherini (I am a Juventus fan and I don't think he should be starting, and certainly not in that position); continuing to return to Aquilani - he was utter crap in the second game so much you had to pull him after 30 minutes, so you go and start him against Brazil? Not giving any real help up top to Balotelli? Even including Gilardino in the squad?

I'm not saying Prandelli should go necesarily ... and I am glad that we play a more attractive brand of football now. But that can be done without sacrificing completely at the other end of the pitch, and it can be done with more wisdom in man management and squad selection.

Agreed. Arguably my two favourite defenders of all-time.

I liked Nesta in his prime too, saw him play in FC Kobenhavn vs Lazio in Denmark many moons ago.

Lol and people still think this Brazil team can Win the World Cup?! Spain and Germany would dismantle this team. Win or lose tonight Brazil haven't impressed in the slightest.
