Kompany is, but he is probably the lone one. But thank you for agreeing, in principle. World class is a special term and should not be cheapened by being given so freely ...

Courtois is the best keeper in Spain. He is going to be the best in the world and soon will be world class. Think him and Lloris are amazing.

World class is a tricky one. There is no definition to it. It depends on the person. My definition of world class is a player most people would have in their team. For example, Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi and Iniesta are, to me, world class because they would almost make everyone's team. I'd say players like Suarez, Bale and Falcoa are to because they would almost make it into everyone's team(if it wasn't for Messi and Ronaldo, of course).

I'd call a lot of players world class which I don't think really are. I'd more or less mean that they are top class. Belgium has a lot of top class players. World class? In a few years, hell yes.

No team has a world class player in EVERY position. Barca need a right back and a CB, Bayern are probably the closest to having a world class 11. But that Belgium can compete with most teams.

Hazard, Courtios, Kompany and Witsel are without doubt world class in their positions.

It is a term that can be loose in definition and subjective. But I have found that to me the best definition, and the one that I find most agree to and use it for, is that the given player is one of the best in the world at that position. I try to think of one of the best 3-5 in the world at that position. For a position like CB where there are two maybe the best 6-10 then.

Courtois is not one of the best 3-5 keepers in the world, nor is he the best in Spain. Could he be in 2-3 years? Yes. But there are also many stories of unfilfilled potential, of players who fail to push on to the next level and realize their full potential. He is not there yet, nor are any other Belgians other than Kompany.

I do love Lloris as well, I wished a couple of years ago that Arsenal would have signed him, and it kills me that he is wearing the scum kit now. But right now the top of the keeping heap is Neuer, Hart, Buffon in my opinion. Plenty of other bright young talents knocking on the door, but that is the pinnacle at this point.

Unfortunately for Courtois, Chelsea still have Cech playing very well. He signed a 5 year deal and may very well never start a game for Chelsea.

Hazard is knocking on the door of it; Courtois seems destined to make it one day; Kompany is ... but it seems that you still have far too loose of a definition of world class to me. Espescially if you claim it for Witsel.

I don't know. Cech is still a very good keeper, but he hasn't been world class for quite some time now, since his head injury really. To me, if Courtois has another outstanding season in Spain then Chelsea are going to be forced to answer the question of do they give him the reigns or does Cech keep it because of what he has meant to the club.

Here is the thing though ... look at what Jose just did in Real this year. He decided that Iker was past it, and replaced him with a younger alternative. Now that backfired in the dressing room for him, but it does seem to say that he would be willing to do it here as well. And here he would not have to go to the transfer market to sign that replacement, he has it in place with Courtois.

Courtios is top 5 I think, thats my opinion though cool if you think otherwise but I think he is. Chelsea are making him in an amazining player by loaning him out then getting the last of Cech. By the time he gets back you have a brilliant replacement.

By world class I don't mean best ever I mean one of the best in that position on earth today which to my mind means world class.
