Disappointing the two best teams won't be meeting in the Final but 2 legs of Bayern/Real will be Epic. I'm expecting Bayern over Chelsea in the Finale

Looks like Costa and Hazard will be expected back for the First leg of the Semi's. Ronaldo is still up in the air with his injury.

Courtois is up in the air, but it seems likely something will be worked out where he can play against Chelsea. Even though Chelsea cannot enforce the clause they agreed on, I doubt Atléti wants to leave with any bad blood between them and Chelsea, considering they are pushing for another 1 year loan extension for Courtois.

Chelsea have hung on for a goalless draw in Spain, though lost a couple of players to injury and will lose others due to suspension in the return leg.

BBC Sport - Atletico Madrid 0-0 Chelsea

Awful game to watch. Snoozefest. Madrid had some decent chances but continually chipping the ball into the box over and over was redundant and failed.

Yeah, it was a terrible game to watch. Fortunately, I had it DVRed and burned through much of the mid-field nothingness. Most of the chips into the box weren't very great either. The forwards for Atleti were mostly double to triple covered when the chips came in. Compare this to the last Atleti/Barca match is unbelievable, that was an amazing game to watch.

Blame must go to Mourinho. He parked the bus on the road in a 1st Leg versus an equal opponent. So now he needs a Win or Shutout at Home while half his squad is injured or suspended.

I like Atletico's chances much better in Leg 2 than I did in Leg 1 for that reason. More Mourinho parking of the bus to be expected. Embarrassing

They are not an 'equal' opponent, Chelsea are the 'weakest' team of the last four by quite a margin.

I would not go as far as to say Chelsea are weaker by quite a margin. If that were the case, Atletico would have scored 3 or 4 goals against them at home.

Over the last 3 or 4 years, Chelsea has been the only English club to do anything of note.

Chelsea play very well at home in the Champions League and they're in good position to punch their ticket to Lisbon next week.
