Over the last 3 or 4 years, Chelsea has been the only English club to do anything of note.

Chelsea play very well at home in the Champions League and they're in good position to punch their ticket to Lisbon next week.
True, while I think there are a lot of competitive very good teams in the EPL (which makes for entertaining viewing) I feel that they fall short of the 'very' top 4 or 5 teams in Europe. Chelsea are the weakest team left in the competition but their 'competativeness' refusal to 'lie down' and sheer 'effort' is pretty damn impressive and I think its for this reason they usually 'hang on in there'.

The only teams better than the best English teams in Europe are Real and Bayern. Maybe Dortmund, Barca and Atletico, but Dortmund and Barca aren't what they were last season. And Atletico need to sustain their level to be considered.

PSG were simply not good enough to beat Chelsea. Chelsea were deserved winners.

Guardiola has got to take the blame for that defeat in Madrid. Rafinha shouldn't have played neither should've schweinstiger. Lahm should have played right back with Martinez taking his place in the midfield and Muller taking schweinstigers place. Guardiola ended up making all the right changes but the damage was done in the first half. Rafinha was the weak link in bayern's defense, if lahm was there they wouldn't have happened plus robben would have had support. in the 2nd leg if Rafinha plays there is now way byaern wins let alone wins. The starting line up in the 2nd leg should be the line up that bayern finished with including benching ribery whos hasn't recovered his form since injury back in February.

Agreed all around. I expect Lahm back in his natural position, Ribery benched in favor of Goetze and Muller might be starting. Kroos doesn't make runs to goal so he's a bad combination when defense overloads on Robben.

Interesting considering they lost 1-3 in the first leg. If Zlatan played, Chelsea would be sitting at home along with their embarrassing play style.

well one of the two(Schweinsteiger and Kroos) needs to start to play that holding role further up the field but you can't have both of them doing the same job. my start XI for the 2nd leg is as follows

----------------Mandzukic
---Goetze---Mueller---Kroos---Robben
----------------Martinez
---Alaba---Dante---Boateng---LAHM
-----------------Neuer
Of course these positions aren't fixed as I expect players to swap sides frequently, but this is what it should look like at the start or atleast I hope it looks like.
