Leverkusen were at full strength but were thrashed by United 0.5. Leverkusen just couldn't cope!

By FAR the worst performance of the season by Leverkusen. I've never seen them play this bad at home or away, in champs league or in the bundesliga. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised though every team has that one game where they become whipping boys or play horribly especially early in the year. even bayern last year flopped against BATE from Belarus losing 3-1 against a crap team. so far this year Leverkusen hasn't a truly crap shoot performance and unfortunately it just had to happen against manu so it was more evident. but in a way it was good it happened in the champs league because they will still qualify with a victory or draw against Socidad as long as Man U don't lose at home to Shakhtar and it doesn't cause them to fall back in the bundesliga.

Leverkusen were not just bad, they were outclassed by a far better team!

well if you mean to say they are a bad side I would say certainly not as they returned to their winning ways in the bundesliga claiming a comfortable 3-0 win against nurnberg. yes it's only nurnberg but it does seem to suggest that the non performance vs manu was just a one off. but we will see in the coming days as leverkusen go on a tough 3 game road trip this week. The first game is easy enough against bottom feeders Freiburg. but the next 2 games are real challenges as they travel to dortmund and sociedad.

So, who is going to lose in the next finals of the FIFA Club World Cup against the South American representant?

Champions League is all that matters, no person usually even remembers or watches the club world cup.

Well, they should...

Because many times the winner of the Champions League is DEFEATED in the Clubs World Cup by the winner of the Libertadores.

That was the case in the last edition, in 2012, when Chelsea, the winner of the Champions League, was defeated in the finals by Corinthians, the winner of the Libertadores, by 1-0

Says who? As a Chelsea supporter all I can say is thank god they don't have to participate this year, it happened right in the middle of the season and certainly didn't help their league form!! The best thing they can do with this particular competition (in my opinion) is scrap it.
