Celtic drew Shakther Karagandy, the lowest ranked team they could have gotten. And they get the 2nd leg in Scotland however they have to fly about as far as you can get in UEFA football to Kazakhistan.

What is sad is that the Celtic even has to play in the qualifiers due to the weakness of Scottish football. Not too long ago, they would have just been in the group stage. And the rest of Scottish football has already been eliminated from Europe.

Arsenal have pretty much secured their spot in the group stage with a solid 3-0 in Turkey today. Looks like Austria Wien is well on their way as well after a 2-0 win in Croatia and same thing with Basel after they scored 4 goals in Bulgaria.

So through the first leg of the playoffs it appears as though Zenit St. Petersburg, Arsenal, Austria Wien, Basel and Real Sociedad are going through.

yea but the shock of the round so far is schalke 04 only drawing at home against lowly PAOK.
