Scousers destroyed Tottenham this season...for a total clean sheet of like 9-0 for both games. Something wrong in the spurs high press does'nt really work against us. How did southampton ever manage that 1-0 defeat at anfield...if it was'nt for that game the reds could be like 6 points as the leaders of the whole table. Chelsea and Man city games will be huge but I think every game the top 4 play till end of season are all going to be big important points that will be crucial in deciding the winner of the barclays league.

It was a great result for Liverpool, they controlled the game like they know how. I still think it is City's to throw away though, they still have the best squad out there with Chelski coming in second imho.

When was the last time Manchester United didn't appear in the Champions League competition? Its been a while I think, it will be interesting to see how much enthusiasm their supporters can raise for the 'Europa Cup' (if they manage to qualify for it of course!)

Impressed with them today against Southampton. One thing with City..if you blink for two secs two goals go in quick right away! They punish a team if they go to sleep. I hope Pool gives them a run for their money.

Are Arsenal right to continue year after trophyless year with Wenger?

They may well miss out on the Champions League next season after this abject performance;

BBC Sport - Everton 3-0 Arsenal

On the other hand Everton did themselves a favour losing Moyes to ManU and getting Martinez in his place.

Saw both games today. Hardly any 'fight' with Arsene's men. Whereas Everton sure was hungry. And after Pool's win it's probably really very very merry up in that part of the UK' right now. But as they say 'it aint over 'til it's over!'

Go on the Merseyside!!!! Not a fan of either club but refreshing to see a new fight for champions league footie (even though that cash cup is a farce anyways). Hope Everton can replace the gooners.

You know I'd say it's interesting in what 'competition' can do over there. Oh the battles now....And if ManU is worth its salt they aren't going to go for all that. Mr Moyes will certainly have a great challenge ahead to convince supporters that he can lead ManU to more silverware.

Big game that Pool vs City...going to be real tough for Pool's 'youngsters'......and entertaining!
