How long do you think they can keep up this surprising early-season form? Can they grab the final CL spot, Europa League, or do you see them imploding an plummeting to the lower half of the table?

The period over Christmas usually sorts the men from the boys - I think their manager is getting the very best out of them, I don't see why they can't qualify for the Europa league.

The size and quality of the squad will be the big deciding factor towards the end of the season.

It's difficult to see Southampton finishing above the usual suspects of the two Manchesters, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Will Liverpool carry on as well as they are currently doing? If Suarez doesn't get himself banned, and continues to link well with Sturridge then they should do well. Everton? Not sure.

I don't bet but I'll say 7th.

They have a good squad of players and Pochettino has done a fantastic job so far, but I think that 8th or 9th is the most realistic. If they're still up there post Christmas then who knows? Otherwise you have to be realistic and look at their squad versus the likes of Liverpool, Everton, Spurs and even teams like Newcastle & West Bromwich that would be more capable of sustaining a long run.

4-1 today and they played some great football. I may have to reevaluate this post in 2 months. Lallaba was amazing and should definitely be in the England squad for Brazil, as should Lambert.
