(CNN) -- First it was Mario Gotze. Now Robert Lewandowski is leaving Borussia Dortmund for German powerhouse Bayern Munich.

The sought after Polish international signed a five-year contract with Bayern Munich, Bayern said on its website while calling the 25-year-old one of the "world's top strikers." He'll join the Bavarian outfit at the end of the season, when his current deal with Dortmund was due to expire.

"We are very happy that this transfer has gone through," Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said. "Robert Lewandowski is one of the world's top strikers.

There is no point in watching Bundesliga now, it's a 1 team showdown.

Still a great league - now and again you'll have teams like Bayern who are just better than anything that has gone before. If Dortmund shop smart they can replace him, maybe Diego Costa, Stephan Keisling or Mario Gomez?

Money is destroying football and it is getting worse each year. Football now is like watching Big corps like Walmart (Man city, Bayern, Chelsea, Real Madrid,....) vs Small businesses (midtable and relegation battling teams)

I honestly don't understand why they make these announcements so far in advance.

So, it's on par with virtually every league in Europe now. Even if Bayern runs away with the title the next few seasons, 2 on down will see more parity that most other leagues. Not that long ago Wolfsburg went from champion to nearly relegated. Top down, still the best league in the world.

Lol I love the Bundesliga but doesn't get near EPL in terms of quality. 2nd best though without a doubt.

Not really.

Many people still have La Liga at #2.
