It is impossible to change everything in one year and stay competitive. I see a lot of comparisons between how Sir Alex Fergusson and Moyes start was similar but back then the media was not a bully unlike today and fans of the club are now multicultural from all over the world so the pressure is much more unlike back then when the only way to communicate with foreign MU fans and fans outside manchester was to play away games or friendly matches in other countries and cities
Manchester United had fans from all over the world 25 years ago too (not as many as now though), 25 years ago Liverpool were the most popular English team accross the world.

But back then they couldn't put pressure, they didn't have a medium to express themselves or reach up to their favorite clubs. Now a click on twitter or facebook and a fan from a foreign country or a city can write #Moyesout on the official Manchester United FB or twitter page. Every fan can be heard now unlike the past

Even the Europa League could be beyond ManU as things stand.

They were demolished by Liverpool today;

I was a bit surprised at how United played the game. Looked to me Pool was more 'hungrier'. As a supporter, it was good to see Liverpool crank it up for the big push. As we know, they have been struggling for a few years. Don't know if this is the year but they sure have a competitive chance to top the big spot. As Rodgers says every game is important now.

And I'd be curious as to how Moyes and Manchester will reply to the season and the next. Of course, Moyes is following Sir Alex which in itself is a tough job after all the silverware that was won but in any case he was picked as a worthy successor. They have some of the best footballers in the world but their place in the standings apparently doesn't show it. So Is it really a 'one-off' as Rooney says?

Maybe it could help Manchester if they should visualize 92:17 back in that CL game in '99???? That's when the game winner went in by Solskjaer. Will always remember Sammy Kuffour practically dying on that field after the goal went in. Have to say Manchester had magic that day after being down 1-0 with time running out and winning 2-1.

That was then and this is now.

They got hammered by Man City earlier in the week in the PL at Old Trafford.
