that must of been from a while ago, I assume from the OPEL ad.

why is it that the Republic of Ireland's kits only have green and white when there are 3 colors on their flag?

I understand what the Orange stands for so perhaps that's my answer. But I'm just wondering because there are 3 colors on the flag.

The jersey's that I remember have always been just green and white, looks cleaner that way. The orange has always been in the crest they have on the jersey.

I am not sure if you're shooting for an anti protestant type answer if you know what the orange stands for but wonder why its not in the jersey. Itd be hard to put orange in a home jersey and make it look well. But like I said its in the crest and I think its been more prominent in the away jerseys.
