What a semi final line up: Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Holland!

Europe vs America!

I hate PKs but someone had to win. Holland had quite a few opportunities to score through out the match but couldn't get the ball in the back of the net. Also, Holland had a boat load of off-sides- more today than their previous 2014 WC matches combined.

Hats off to Costa Rica. They had a very good tournament. They frustrated NED but really couldn't get anything going until late in the 2nd extra time period. It's unfortunate that PKs did them in.

NED vs. ARG is going to be a great match. NED better rest up quick.

-Cheers.

Who do you think will win the semi-final round?

I've been bad at the predictions but I have to say Germany beats Brazil, and Argentina beat holland.

What I would like to see is a Brazil vs Argentina match or Brazil vs Holland.

It's certainly not what I expected going into the game.
It was just one of those games We hit the bar three times and had numerous chances that would've gone in 9 out of 10 times but not today. We had 20 shots of which 15 were on target, compared to 6 and 3 for CR.

What a bold move by LVG to swap goalkeepers in the last minute of extra time but it paid off I hope we can finally leave the penalties curse behind us.

Some of those off-side calls were clearly not off-side at all. It was very strange. But RVP was caught off-side way too many times for a player of his stature.

Before the tournament began, I predicted Germany, Brazil and Argentina to make it to the SF. I only had Spain as the fourth semi-finalist instead of The Netherlands. I'm glad I was wrong

Linda I know I always ask but how is holland like now? Relieved? Do the Dutch still believe or do they think Holland has bad luck like in 2010?

PK. What a terrible way to end a hard caught game. Pathetic... That , diving and injury faking and constant interpretive offside calls will always leave this potentially great sport wallowing in the stone ages.
