Looks like the Germans want to send a message and avenge what happened in Japan back in 2002.

I cannot believe they've scored 5 goals and it's only the first half. Good for Miroslav Klose breaking Ronaldo's record.

Oh and Michael Ballack is probably going to need a change of pants in time for the halftime show on ESPN.

I don't know why people keep saying this is the best WC ever. Best group stage ever, perhaps. But none of the big teams are at their best in this WC. 1998 > 2014.

IMO, people think it's the best WC ever just because it's been high scoring comparatively.

The craziest thing about this game is you know, unless Germany decides to truly stop trying to score again (which they show no signs of) they are going to score again a time or 5. They are definitely sending a message.

But the reason it's been high scoring is mostly because the teams are just much weaker defensively.

How ironic it would be for us to win the WC with a team of mostly young Eredivisie players, when our greatest generation ever (1998-2000) never even got to play a final.

I think it's save to say Germany will be the favorite to win against any team they play in the Finals.

Linda, if Holland beat Argentina, do you think they have a chance with this beast of a team?

Now I want to see a Germany vs Holland match. That would be amazing.
