If Germany win the final by more than three goals they will be canonized as the most beast team to ever play the game. They will be football gods. LOL.

Yep.
They would be considered up there with the ramba-zamba German Team of the 70's.

But.... If Argentina win, we get to see the crowning of a new Maradona! Leo Messi!

So either way history is being made. What a final we all get to witness.

If Argentina win without impressing tonight, they will probably go down as one of the weaker teams to win the world cup, such as Brazil 1994.

No disrespect to them, but they haven't really lit up this World Cup and a few bright sparks from Messi aside, they have been pretty poor. (Although good defensively)

Of course I watched it, it's our last game at the WC. That doesn't mean that the outcome is relevant in any way. It's a glorified friendly, but then I watch friendlies as well It's nice to go home undefeated but I don't feel like we've "won" anything.

Besides, a free kick from that position would have been a goalscoring opportunity in itself.
I think it was very close to the box, and IMO not a bad decision to give a penalty. It was a bad decision to not give a red, however. If that had happened 15 minutes later the ref would have sent him off, but because it was Brazil in their home stadium just a minute after kick off he bottled it unfortunately!

Di Maria doesn' t play.
The crowd sounds pretty much in favor of Germany. The Argentina players were booed pretty good when they came onto the pitch for the warm-ups.
