Not surprised! Apart from Neymar I don't think any Brazilians will want Argentina to win

Are you serious? We had one of the most difficult groups of the entire tournament. Spain is the current WC + Euro champion and had an almost impeccable record up until the WC started. Chile was widely regarded as a dark horse and one of the best teams in this tournament. Australia wasn't as weak as some of the other #4 teams such as Honduras, Iran or Cameroon. Many people predicted we wouldn't even make it out of the group stage but we won all our games and had a goal ratio of 10/3 (better than any other team). In the next round we faced Mexico, a team that went undefeated in a group with Brazil, Croatia and Cameroon and who many felt was better than Brazil at that point. Again we beat them in regular time. Then we faced CR, a team that had beaten Italy and Uruguay and drew England and Greece. Admittedly, they weren't the best team in the QF but they were no pushovers either. We were extremely unlucky in that game, hitting the bar three times and having countless shots on goal but eventually, we beat them in penalties.

Again, you would have to be incredibly biased to say this was the easiest route to the SF, especially compared to France or Belgium or Argentina or even Colombia. Argentina faced far weaker teams in their group than we did (Nigeria, Bosnia and Iran), had an easier R16 opponent (Switzerland) and a similar QF opponent (Belgium). They defeated these teams by 1 goal, often very late in the game. Colombia, France and Belgium had much weaker groups than ours and weaker R16 teams as well (Uruguay without Suarez, Nigeria that shouldn't even be there and an overrated US team). Colombia went on to face a Brazil team that was subsequently thrashed by Germany and the Netherlands. Belgium went on to face Argentina but lost, whereas we didn't. France went on to face Germany which was admittedly the most difficult QF game, but if France are as good as you say they are that shouldn't be a problem.

They were one of the most unfairest sides of the tournament which was perfectly displayed at the penaltys against Costa Rica.
Here are the match statistics:

Netherlands vs. Costa Rica

Number of shots: 20 vs. 6
Shots on goal: 15 vs. 3
Fouls: 15 vs. 13
Ball possession: 64% vs. 36%
Corner kicks: 11 vs. 1
Saves: 3 vs. 14
Offside: 13 vs. 2
Red card: 0 vs. 0
Yellow card: 2 vs. 4

Yes, it was so unfair for us to advance over Costa Rica

France progressed further in Euro 2012 than the Netherlands. France blew out Switzerland which took Argentina nearly to penaltys. The Netherlands didn't create any chances against Argentina.
How is Euro 2012 relevant in any way? We had a completely different team and manager then. Besides, if you're going to bring up past results, why not mention the fact that France barely qualified for this WC through a 3-2 play-off result against Ukraine, whereas the Netherlands was the first country in Europe to qualify by winning 9 out of 10 games?

The Netherlands played much better against Argentina than Switzerland did. It was a completely open game and any objective person would admit that. And we didn't create any chances against Argentina? Javier Mascherano disagrees:

That WC record doesn't matter one bit if you don't win any trophies and choke in big games. Germany has more semifinal appearances, more final appearances and more WC titles. Germany is the better team with much better players than the Netherlands, period. I'm just so sick of that anti-german sentiment in the things you write. It's so typical for a small, petty nation like the Netherlands.
I already acknowledged that Germany has a better WC record than us. I just don't understand why you feel the need to constantly put the Netherlands and its football legacy down. Look at the stuff you wrote. Nobody cares about our past generations, we're chokers, all the big teams have multiple players of Cruijff's calibre, we don't deserve our semi-final result, we'll always be losers because we don't have the right mentality, we're a small petty nation, etc. Yet I'm the one with a supposed anti-German sentiment?

Argentina also had an easy route to the semi finals.. in fact so did Brazil to an extent.
