Croatia were unlucky.

Germany and Spain would have punished them so badly if they played like that against them.

Brazil usually start off a bit slow, having said that Croatia deserved something from the game. I hope Fred gets injured and misses the rest of the tournament for that dive, absolutely horrible.

The Brazilian crowd was not loud enough in yesterdays opening (judging from my couch). I was expecting much more cheering. Let's see which country has the loudest fans in this tournament.

The Croatian equaliser, ok, it looked like a foul first and referees often whistle in those situation, but the replays showed that it was a pure contact, and the goalkeeper didn't even try to counter it. And before the whole thing, the referee I think gave advantage to Croatia. The situation as a whole was quite messy, but the goal should've stood.

This was not the first time when referees can't be impartial. Well, Blatter is happy, the host won and Neymar got two goals. Hope we don't see anything of the 'Korean style 2002' level rubbish this World Cup, which was the ultimate corruption.
Croatia were robbed.

Neymar should have been red carded, the penalty decision was a disgrace and Croatia had a goal disallowed for no reason.

Blatter will be happy, but then again Blatter is a corrupt and nasty piece of work.

Pouring rain and a bus strike in Natal, not surprised there are a good number of empty seats as fans either couldn't get to the game, or preferred to not get soaked for 2 hours straight.

If only the Dutch played with this passion the last time they played Spain instead of negative football - they could have won a world cup!

They have gotta be contenders - nobody can put 5 past Spain along with hitting the bar and another 5 guilt edge chances and not be capable of beating any team at least 1-0!

Amazing performance.

Now we will, more than likely, see a Brazil v Spain next round!

The Netherlands went from a team a lot had picked to finish 3rd in the group to the team that will probably finish first. A big win over Spain and a nice start to their goal difference. It's going to be a fight between Spain and Chile now to get out of this group.
