I haven't noticed too many horrible calls like the blatant calls in 2010, but come on.. that's pathetic.

The only people who can stand behind that call is someone from Holland or someone who hates Mexico.

3 minutes to go, let them play.
Nonsense. The first time Robben was fouled inside the box, the Mexican player clearly kicked him on the ankles instead of aiming for the ball. That could have been a penalty but the ref gave Mexico the benefit of the doubt. No big deal, bad luck for us. The second time, Robben was again fouled inside the box but the ref gave Mexico the benefit of the doubt again. The third time, it was only a slight foul but Robben was tackled. Had that been 15 minutes into the game and it was somewhere in the middle of the field, that would've been a free kick. In this case it was inside the box and the fact that it was the 94th minute and the score was 1-1 should not matter. Taking this case in isolation, most refs probably wouldn't go so far as to give a penalty for that but I'm sure the two previous incidents influenced the ref's decision.

I also think a lot of people are just biased against Robben and accuse him of diving no matter what. Once a player has that stigma, it's almost impossible to get rid of. Like I said, he went down theatrically but that's not the same as diving. Diving to me is going down without being fouled. In this case, you'd have to be quite biased to say Robben was not fouled in either of the three incidents inside the box.

How is that a red card??

I am lost here, it didn't even look like he touched the guy. I don't even think that should be a Yellow Card.

These refs are bad.

A referee can give the penalty but he dosn't have to. He was slightly touched and his theatrics didn't justify the slight touch at all. I just think with he quality Robben has he doesn't need these theatrics. I think he is a likeable guy in interviews even (his german sounds so funny with his dutch accent :-)).
Name me one attacking player in this entire WC that hasn't gone down like that once or twice in the game. That's just a part of football. It only gets problematic when players cannot string 5 passes together without someone flopping, as happened yesterday in both games. None of the players on the field engaged in that kind of behaviour today.

I didn't say it is bad to draw fouls. I just think they way Robben draws fouls is very extreme in the way of the theatrics that are on display. I disagree with you view on the Brazil - Chile game yesterday. I thought it was very intense and not much acting was involved. Although the Brazlians were dropping a few times to early on the pitch for my taste.

I think it's especially ridiculous with Robben when he draws a foul gets in the air and waving his arms in the air. So much theater.
