Chile should've eliminated them when they had the chance. They were the only team to actually make the Brazilians break down and sweat. Mexico had them a bit too but it was mostly Ochoa that kept them at bay.

Hulk not much of a passer.

Brazil can breathe a sigh of relief. The usual suspects continue to dominate the game. We'll see if Costa Rica and Belgium can do anything tomorrow.

Brazil has dominated this game like crazy. Colombia seemed so weak and inefficient. Hardly the team we saw earlier in the cup. Unbelievable.

Thiago Silva being suspended for the next game is a huge loss for Brazil on defense. Hopefully Neymar will be ready to play on Tuesday because Brazil will definitely need him. Brazil was simply dominant in the 1st half against Colombia.

Hulk has gotten fatter again. Or well, stockier. Must begin to have a severe effect on his speed and agility at some point.

Again, not that typical. Argentina hasn't made the final four since 1990. The Netherlands made the final four twice since then (1998 and 2010) but it has never won the WC, so that could still be a first. Germany is of course the least surprising semi-finalist as this is their fourth time in a row. But they haven't won the cup since 1990 either so they're long overdue. Brazil crashed out before the SF in the two previous WC's but they were expected to do better at home so no surprise there.

The World Cup is not some festival where every team has an equal shot at winning. There may be some upsets in the group stage and the R16 but after that, the best teams come out on top. That's why it's no surprise to see the "same old" teams getting far in the WC. I don't know what else you expected.

They're saying Neymar broke his back, and is finished for the time being.
