As an American soccer is new to me and I'm a newbie so bear with me.
What would your country look like or how would they react if your team went to the World Cup final? I like the reaction of the fans in different countries.
What would Englabd look like if they reached the World Cup final?
Ghana? Germany? Brazil on their own turf? Mexico? Chile?
In Spain there are too many football supporters so the party is big when they win the following day they team comes and it is a big party in the centre of Madrid, with music and performances.
The next day the president and the King make official events to the players and give a speech.
And people generally go and have a bath in the sea/swimmingpool or public fountains, it always happens even if it is national football, does it happen abroad? It is very alive but nobody stops working if they have to.
Wow! I wish the US had that kind of spirit. Too bad we are still young to the game. I even had a Canadian friend tell me that we are spoiled because if Canada made the Cup they'd go mad. That surprised me since soccer isn't all that big there too.
Venezuela (where I grew up) has never gone to the World Cup
I guarantee NOBODY would go to work if Venezuela played the World Cup final
That's amazing that Venezuela has never been to the World Cup. Are they improving or is the sport big in that country?
