As an American soccer is new to me and I'm a newbie so bear with me.

What would your country look like or how would they react if your team went to the World Cup final? I like the reaction of the fans in different countries.

What would Englabd look like if they reached the World Cup final?

Ghana? Germany? Brazil on their own turf? Mexico? Chile?

Please indulge me?

In Spain there are too many football supporters so the party is big when they win the following day they team comes and it is a big party in the centre of Madrid, with music and performances.

The next day the president and the King make official events to the players and give a speech.

And people generally go and have a bath in the sea/swimmingpool or public fountains, it always happens even if it is national football, does it happen abroad? It is very alive but nobody stops working if they have to.

Even qualifying for the World Cup would make the country go nuts.

Wow! I wish the US had that kind of spirit. Too bad we are still young to the game. I even had a Canadian friend tell me that we are spoiled because if Canada made the Cup they'd go mad. That surprised me since soccer isn't all that big there too.

But none of the American "big sports" is truly played internationally besides Basket and Hockey.

That's amazing that Venezuela has never been to the World Cup. Are they improving or is the sport big in that country?
