For now on, the teams really focus on preparing for the next WC. They may use some aging players now during the transition, but the trend is to replace them in the next year or so for 2018 if they are serious about being on top in Russia.

All these Argentinean players you mentioned will be 30 or or older in the next WC, so the next coach is likely to start retiring them from the squad except Messi who is way above the average. Higuain should not even have gone to Brazil, he's clearly underperforming compared to what he used to be. In fact, IMO Sabella made such a big mistake of bringing him instead of Tevez.
