What a dynamic final! Its a European giant vs a giant of the Americas! I've yet to see such a game since I started watching that Cups in 98. Since it's happening in South America it's going to be extra special.

Do you guys predict this will be the most watched event of the year? The most watched cup final of all time?

Sophie, how is Argentina right now? Is the whole country excited? What would happen if Argentina won?

it is crazy, insane, its 1 am in the morning and i live in the 12th floor and its a winter night and ALL I HEAR outside is chants and cornets and screaming outside. Everyone everywhere only talks about futbol (but this has been the same since this WC started), i dont know, ill have to write a book to mention all the crazyness i ve lived the last few days since we are in the finals, from a procession from the square with the giant screen in where i saw the semi alongside thousands of INSANE people to the obelisco and all the flags and the crazyness and the 3 hours it took me to get home walking 40 blocks and chanting with every car every person that went walking by, thousands of it, cause the whole 13 millon porteños were outside, celebrating, going crazy, to taking the subway in where the subway voice started singing "vamos vamos argentina" and all the people in the subway started shouting and jumping and singing all our songs "volveremos volveremos" "brasil decime q se siente", etc.

Its just, futbol has taken over and outside the world has been an endless party for like a week now, cause when we got to the semis, it was the first time we did it in 24 years, and everything that happened after that was just surreal.

If we win tomorrow the world might implode. Probably the biggest celebration ill ever witness.

Such is the power of the World Cup! You NEVER see people celebrate in that manner topping the Olympic Medal Tally for instance...

Best of luck both Germany and Argentina! And I express my sympathies to the Brazilian fans having to sit through this in Maracana later... It must be very, very, very awkward watching this after you guys were looking forward to seeing your own team face off against your Argentine rivals there!

I would have preferred a different match up for the final.. Argentina are good, but I can see this being a boring match if they sit back and defend all game
