Beat me to the punch. Exactly what I was gonna say. That game was phenomenal. Pirlo is a football god.

Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge shined for England.

Lots of goals doesn't equate to great game

The game Germany vs Argentina was better than Germany vs Brazil
The semifinal could have easily ended at 1/2 time

Yes of course. Germany vs Algeria was exciting and it was 0-0 most of the time.

Agreed. I actually didn't watch the 2nd half of Germany x Brazil.

I agree with Radio though, Brazil x Chile was a great game, even the second time I watched it.

I didn't see the Germany x Ghana game live and knew the score before I watched, so that ruined part of it. My wife kept calling me during the game, "OMG, you need to watch this game."

I just love games with risk taking, passionate teams. Chile was the best team to watch for that and their game against Brazil was stunning. Same with Ghana, they were determined to beat Germany and had them shaking a bit. After that second goal from Gyan I could see Lowe panicking and hurried Klose to enter the game.

Germany was taken by surprise.

My best 2 were Chile vs. Brazil and Germany vs. Ghana.

Mexico vs. Brazil was the best 0x0 IMO.

Correction, I completely forgot Germany vs. Algeria. That game was excellent, I loved it.

Ivory Coast has been my favorite team to watch since the beginning of the Drogba era. Their game against Greece was my favorite WC game since Ivory Coast v Argentina in 2006. Easily #1 for me, despite the result. After that...probably Colombia v Cote d'Ivoire, then US v Belgium, then US v Ghana, then Mexico v Netherlands. My top 5. I have never much liked watching this current crop of German players (although I aspire to emulate Muller when I play)...and Argentina was surprisingly boring with their 7 hours of not conceding a goal. Brazil v Mexico a close 6th. As entertaining a 0-0 as you'll find. France v Switzerland 7 for the surprising outpouring of goals, Spain v Australia 8 because I like watching Spain play anything like they're supposed to play, Netherlands v Australia 9, Belgium v Algeria 10. I strongly stand by this list.

I especially liked the Germany 7-1 semi final.. Brazil were bad, but some of the Germany goals were just breathtaking really. Clinical and tactful!

Brazil was not bad... they were absent, which gave a sense of unreality to the game. Almost like it was a fake match.
