He’s not exactly a font of accurate predictions, but FIFA head honcho Sepp Blatter has a made a claim that, if true, would drastically alter the future of Major League Soccer.

Blatter claims that Major League Soccer will be moving towards a European calendar.

The topic itself is not new, but Blatter’s comments are, and Duane Rollins of Canadian Soccer News posted audio from the FIFA man’s Monday press conference ahead of the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Sepp Blatter comments that MLS has decided to adopt the FIFA calendar | ProSoccerTalk

I think its a horrible idea, attendances will go down imho. Especially for teams who have bitter winters.

The MLS has no intention to do so in the "short-term" and Blatter, whose credibility is always in question, don't exactly know when. Sounds like no change to me.

There is a new update at the end of the post:

UPDATE: MLS vice president Dan Courtemanche says Blatter doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

I sure hope they don't move

Soccer worldwide could be even bigger if properly managed. FIFA is a shame for the sport.

Blatter is an idiot.. he needs to retire quickly.. that will not happen though.. it seems the only way to get him out of power is for him to die..

I had a boss about a decade ago, he said he never wanted to retire because he didn't want the highlight of his day to be picking up his dig's crap. I tried to tell him that there are other ways to have value in life besides working, but it never sunk in. Some people are like that.
