Yea, why not? There are already several teams in Canada.
Mexico already has its own league, first off. Second, sorry, but the MLS needs places that are more fit economically to handle these clubs. And I'm not too sure how well off Mexican boarder towns are.
Location: Central Texas. Wait, I mean South Texas. Actually, both Central and South Texas

You might be surprised, many Mexican nationals cross over to the U.S. everyday to shop for higher end items, or pay to send their children to private schools in the U.S. I wouldn't classify those cities as wealthy, but I think there is enough money there to support an MLS team.

I think there are still plenty of options within the US, instead if going to Mexico. That would be weird since there s already Liga MX, I think those teams could have the potential of being looked down on by Liga MX fans.

The closest thing to Mexico the MLS would ever expand to would be San Antonio, El Paso, and San Diego. Major American pro sports leagues don't even look to Mexico for anything, and the MLS is no different.
After all, the league was made for U.S. and Canadian cities only.
