I don't ever get to see Dost, but that guy was a machine for about 3 months...and then nothing.

Default Bas Dost

Because I can't stop myself from charting every number, here is Bas Dost's goals vs shots from Aug 2014-present. You can see the rapid increase in goals in the first three months of the year, then nothing as his cumulative goals has plateaued.

Edit: I eliminated any games he didn't play, but included games he came on as a sub.

Kind of cool stats but:

a) It's hard to compare someone from a side like Barca or Real Madrid who average about 3 goals a game as a team, with someone from a side like Malaga who average maybe 1.2. Put anyone of these guys on Sunderland or Burnley and their production would be cut in half or more (do they suddenly suck?)
b) It's hard to compare players on the same team even based on where they play on the field. The further up top you play, the more productive you have to be.
