I watched the Orlando City/NYCFC match and thought it was pretty entertaining. It was great to see the Orlando fans all pumped up. Also, the Sporting KC/NYRB match was really good. The Fox broadcast was great. Others thought it was bad. Everyone has an opinion.
I predict that my beloved Real Salt Lake will qualify for the playoffs again!
You know 62,000+ at that Orlando-NY game sure wasn't shabby.
I happened to read a commentary on the game and it indeed mentioned the players and their 'match readiness'. Not sure if it obliquely refers to something about 'quality' but what can be expected so early? Thing is baseball's in spring training and I don't see anything relating to 'game readiness' there by pundits. I mean it's understood.
I agree that it was a great opening weekend, despite the fact the Fire lost to LA. Both OC and NYCFC look to have good fanbases so far. It will be interesting to see if they hold out.
Plus, that "welcome to your nightmare" tifo is probably the dumbest thing Ive ever seen (unless theyre referring to Seattle's weather).
