Controversy #3: 49C (120F) Degree Temperatures
Sure, they'll build air conditioned stadiums. But will the average visitor tolerate such conditions before/after each match?
Controversy #4: NO SCANTILY DRESSED BABES ANYWHERE!!!
What good is a World Cup without a mix of pretty women from everywhere on the planet?
What was the point of Qatar winning the bid? It's obvious the bid was mired in corruption. Qatar is too small, they have to build new stadiums, the heat is too much and their laws too strict for an influx of rowdy soccer fans.
It's just their rulers way of securing a prestigious tournament for their ego. Its costing lives and ruining the game of football.
There was no point. There was bribes. End of story. FIFA having its own committee investigate itself to see if there was bribes is beyond hilarious also.
These laws will be abolished when the world cup kicks in. Money defeats everything. Brazil had to change the dry stadium policy because Budweiser were upset.
ISIS??? Who knows if they will exist in 2022?
There are a lot of foreigners who go to Qatar and gulf countries in general each year. I don't think temperature will be a major problem. Fans tolerated the bad weather in Manaus
Qatar population is less than 3 million people. I remember the confederations cup, the youth and club world cups held in other gulf countries with more population and there was no problem at all.

But dude . . . you failed to mention the most important concern over the 2022 World Cup: The scantily dressed "from-everywhere" babes!
Who in their right mind would want to be in a futbol stadium filled with only men? What is World Cup Futbol without beautiful women from everywhere?
Hey, this is more than enough reason to bring the 2022 World Cup to the US of A!

Your list is missing the true #1.....no liquor for the fans.
Apparently those laws will be relaxed for the duration of the WC.. that is if any fans even want to travel in the ridiculous 50C temperatures that will greet them there!
They gave the World Cup to a country that has no soccer history whatsoever. They've never qualified for a World Cup. I understand the US was not exactly Germany when they were awarded hosts in 1994, but at least the US had qualified multiple times for previous World Cups.
The only good thing about hosting the games in Qatar would be the physical size of the country; the venues would be pretty close and not require a lot of travel for fans.
2022 should have gone to Australia.
