These managers had Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and John Terry in their prime, far away from the players available to Roy Hodgson. Aside from Italy'90, England never did too well at international tournament not on home soil.

Wayne Rooney is shameful. Shameful. England deserved to lose!

33rd minute, a well deserved goal for Portugal.

So Portugal won, not quite what I was looking for, but that's football. Congratulations.

It's been overall a bad tournament. Yes, some upsets have been happening but the game play quality is just bad all around and all teams have had poor performances. On top of everything france has been doing a terrible job at being a host, unable to contain violence, both inside and outside stadium, the turfs are in poor shape/half dried out, fans have been invading the fields. I have never seen such a disgrace before...

Yeah this EUROS sucked with the eastern European teams getting knocked out early and then one of the most boring teams I've ever seen making it to the semi-finals. Portugal only wins by boring the opposition to sleep and then scoring in the 90th minute. Never seen a team as lethargic as this Portugal

Portugal played at a slow place, but Poland played even slower. Just like against Switzerland, they got an early lead and then sat back in defense, hoping to make it the penalty kicks once again. Can't complain of bad luck when you play like that. Same thing with Croatia who only really played for 5-10 minutes. Same thing with Iceland, they sit back, destroy incoming attacks and rush to the goal as fast as they can hoping for an opponent's mistake.
