In all the years I've been following football (40+), in all the forums, predictions and conversations I've ever known regarding football you are the very first European (non English) I have ever known to actually say 'rooting for England'! So much so that this has actually genuinely shocked me! :-)

When the Dutch are not in it, England is always my favorite football country in Europe.
No way i will ever support Germany/France/Belgium.

Good lord! The English are ALWAYS public enemy number one even if they are actually not particularly good anyway, (sad news about Netherlands greatest ever player Cruyf by the way) :-(

I kinda don't mind England, did I commit a sin being Irish ? However, I have tonnes of English cousins and inlaws so the hate does come out strong for a rivalry reason but its all good banter.

The English will always root for the Irish when it comes to football, it is NEVER reciprocated the other way around though, in fact its usually the exact opposite, the Irish tend to root for whoever is playing the English! :-)

Huh? What does the election year in the U.S. have to do with who's going to win the Euros?

I fully expect us to finish last in the group. No joke. I predicted the outcome of our WC14 almost to a minute (tie with Korea, loss - though I thought it would have been heavier than 0-1 - to Belgium and a lead against Algeria when a win took them through, which they would then throw away at the end) and there's really nothing to suggest this year is going to be any better.

Yawn. I don't necessarily disagree, mind you.

I'd like England to do well for once. Great crop of young players.

I don't see England going that far in the competition.
