The Earthquakes name dates back to 1974, bringing with it much more tradition than any wannabe Euro name you could come up with.

I mean.... if it isn't called football here why the FC? Why not put AC (whatever *** nonsense that stands for) if we're just gunna be posers about it.
Moderator cut: City Data also edits out explainations of racial slurs because that type of expression isn't acceptable here.

AC stands for Athletic Club

I guess I should have put Seattle and Philadelphia to the poll, even though they dont begin play until 2009 and 2010 respectivley. My apologies to them.
Anyone else heard the news that New York may get a second team, and Minnesota is interested as well?

Seattle just signed Microsoft as their jersey sponsor and will have Xbox 360 Live on there jerseys. Thats a huge sponsorship deal for them.
They also have 16,500 deposits for season tickets and will likely have the biggest season ticket holder base in the league.

I have heard that New York may get a second team. Maybe they should rename the Red Bulls the New Jersey Red Bulls and put a team actually in New York?? That could make for an interesting rivalry.

DC didn't look too shabby last night, did you watch it? Their Defense is shaky but I enjoyed watching their Offense, pretty to watch.
