Anyone else heard the news that New York may get a second team, and Minnesota is interested as well?

NY getting a second team is far away. The Red Bulls have terrible attendance so putting a second team there will only make that worse.
Never heard anything about Minnesota.
The likely cities to get the next teams are St. Louis and Montreal.

I read on wikipedia sometime last summer that Minnesota was a place of interest but that article is no longer there. St Louis will likely be next to receive a franchise, there is also interest in possibly putting a team back in Florida.

Yeah, St. Louis already has stadium plans and an ownership group. I think they need to get some more money together but I would be shocked if they arent in the league by 2012.

Personally, I hope the next four are Portland, Vancouver, Montreal and St Louis. Three of the four are established fanbases of the USL and the fourth is a traditional soccer stronghold in the U.S.

Florida should not get a franchise. Look at the baseball attendance down there. Also, Atlanta doesn't deserve one either. They usually draw 11 or 12 people for Hawks games...and the Braves, as good as they've been, can't give tickets away unless the Cubs, Sox, or Yankees are in town.

What is the name of Phillies new team anyone know?
Houston have been a good expansion team just like the fires, I live in Colorado so I am a Rapids fan and am going to the game tommorow against Dallas, if we win we will be 2nd place in the West.
Personally I think NC is where we need another expansion team with Duke and UNC as great soccer schools. Maybe when I get some money I'll look into that.
