Why are there no tall players in top flight soccer that can control the ball or dribble for long stretches?

Basketball has guys around 6'3", 6'5" point guards all the way to 6'8" like Lebron James that can dribble or ball control with hands.

All the players in soccer over 6'1" in height are either target man, or centre backs. They get to handle the ball, but mostly in place before shooting or passing off. Why none are dribbling like this? The exception being Paul Pogba.

The Dutch are some of the tallest people. What did they do before Rick Smits come along?

Longer distance between brain and feet

Only half joking. Shorter people are able to change direction quicker, which is by far the most important trait for a soccer athlete.

LeBron and Magic are stiffs compared to Allen Iverson or Chris Paul. But height is much more important in basketball.

Yes but Lebron and Magic are 6'8". And Iverson and Paul are at least 6ft.

"yes but" implies you disagree with me, but otherwise you near repeated what I wrote, so I probably don't understand what you meant.

If those guys can be quick and nimble on basketball court, why cant guys at that height, over 6 ft, be quick and nimble on soccer pitch?

they are quick and nimble compared to other people of their height --- and height is the most important characteristic in basketball, but not in soccer.
