The game between Croatia and Denmark was not a sellout. Roughly 3,000 empty seats. That's pretty bad that a knock-out round game did not sell out. Especially considering both teams playing were from Europe and were relatively close geographically.

Some times the best team doesn't go through especially when it comes down to PKs.

That's exactly what's happening for both Russia and Croatia, as they oust Spain and Denmark.

Croatia was the favorite between the two teams... Unlike Spain and Russia, where we were more expecting 3-0. A lot of people are still thinking like 2 decades ago, with Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Italy only, but in 2018, every country in the top 30 of fifa ranking can win over an other country ranked top 30. Croatia can be world champion, Uruguay too, Mexico too, domination of the top5 almost disappeared.

I think it's kinda cool and more entertaining

Sounds even better, and something we can all look forward to.

Brazil just beat Mexico 2 – 0
Mexico is improving a lot their football, very good team though disloyal, if they were first in their group they would get longer in this world cup.

The bad news is that afterward the Mexico coach was blaming the style of the referree on their loss, plus throwing shade at Brazil in general. Sour grapes is very unprofessional.

This guy is dumb, bad loser, he was coach of the team I support here in Brazil (S„o Paulo), and unfortunely always he lost to Tite (from the rival Corinthians, and now the Brazilian coach) in that time, so he knows a lot about all the Brazilians players, and in the seccond half put one guy to provokes Neymar who even stepped in his injured ankle but it didnít work any more, Brazilians didnít retaliate.

As far as excitement, Belgium/Japan was hands down the best match of the tourney so far.
