Funny thing is the Germans I know personally are largely not expecting another repeat title until maybe some 20 years down the line (which is roughly the average interval between German World Cup titles)! LOL!

Voted Brazil (the only non-European team to ever have won the World Cup on European soil) just for LOLs btw! hehehe...

Depends on which French team shows up at the tournament! They are notoriously erratic as a team! When they are great, they are damn near unstoppable, but when they suck, they end up finishing at the bottom of their group!

We can take Chile off the board since they won't even be there!

They were not a serious contender anyways.

I've yet to vote for a potential winner. But frankly, I'm tired of seeing "The Usual Suspects" win the WC quadrennial after quadrennial. Hoping it will be won by a least likely team. Sweden would be nice. But, a team like Senegal or other unexpected winner would be a nice departure from the short list of typical winners.

At one time they were, but the hype train died down. They were the new Belgium.

Only the one game left now,the winner of Peru and New Zealand, while i think Peru will win fairly easily could still go either way as it was 0-0 after the first leg in New Zealand.

Australia became the 31st country to qualify after beating Honduras 3-1 this morning.
