They have won a world cup!

It would help for sure but FIFA is the big problem and the behemoth that is Premier League football doesn't help, I wouldn't be bothered if the national team was dis-banded, besides wherever the national team goes trouble follows (everybody wants a punch up with the English). The Russians basically said before the Euro's that they would punch anybody they came across who happened to be English.....why because they still think its 1984, they have already said the same thing about the world cup in Russia. The English will naturally respond, the city will become a mini 'war zone' and the English will ultimately get the blame. I only hope that they don't qualify (though I think they will) or that afterwards they get some kind of ban (FIFA will definitely look to punish the English as apposed to the Russians). Football in many parts of Europe is still about fences, police with dogs, tear gas and racist chanting - thankfully that is not the case in 21st Century UK and until FIFA deals properly with these problems in 'some' European football I say 'international competition - no thanks'.
