Except that I can't see Uruguay or Iran advancing far at all. I hope that Boretugal gets its boring azz eliminated as early as possible, a repeat of Euro 16 would be horrible

I am pretty sure what you hope doesn't matter to Uruguay, Iran and Portugal. On the other hand, Poland didn't park the bus today but they'll ride in it on their way home .

Well Iran is not advancing anyway, so \_(ツ)_/

Lol you can park the bus and still concede 3 goals, look at Chelsea in the 2013-2014 Champions League

I admit it is depressing to think about the socioeconomical dispariry of some of these countries facing eachother. It sucks to think about but it’s hard to avoid.

Yep. Tough to do.

How are we only supposed to think about the match and nothing else?

So far so good today:

Egypt vs Saudi Arabia is going to be Egypt...

Russia is likely lost vs Uruguay lol.

Portugal: Ronaldo to score again and Diego Costa to score vs Morocco. I suspect Iran will give Portugal hard time though.
