I think they may go all the way judging from their current form! England must beat Panama tomorrow, otherwise their only hope will be versus Belgium on Thursday

Looking for Portugal, England, Mexico, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Croatia, or Russia to catch fire.

Nigeria would be a longshot.

I agree that we've seen enough of both Germany and Brazil.

Yep.

Group by group, certain ones of these World Cup qualified teams (16) are beginning to slip away into the abyss. For them it's just about time to back up the bus, because their party's about over! There's not gonna be a "sweet sixteen" knockout round for them.

Same here! Sadly Sweden dropped far too deep and were ponderous on the counter-attack, allowing Germany to bombard their goal. And you never give away a foul in that part of the field at any time, especialy with twenty seconds to go!

If Germany fails to beat South Korea (and I imagine they will quite convincingly!) they be out if Sweden beat Mexico.

A brilliant win albeit against inexperienced and naive opposition. I don't think the way England played is going to send shivers down future opponents spines - they seemed to stay stuck in second gear and most of the goals were either penalties or from set-pieces - but I'm happy with the result. Shame about the goal they conceded though...

England looked good because Panama is weak, the weakest team of the tournament. Teams aren't only as good as their most recent game.

Those teams are after winning games while pacing themselves for the rest of the competition, not after entertaining neutrals, that's what the playstation is for.
