England, but I've liked them for years.

American here.

Since no USA , I'm rooting for Mexico, Spain, Argentina (hoping Messi does better), Belgium (Coach Roberto Martinez is a cool dude) and England (always - for the colonies ).

And, not necessarily in that order!

There have been some good games and I've enjoyed watching. Unfortunately, if I root for a team it seems to be the kiss of death...they go belly up. I was pulling for Senegal. I'm hoping for anyone other than the usual suspects. Uh-oh... I probably shouldn't say that. It's probably just me but I've seen enough games that what I really want is to have Tony Meola given a red card or gagged for about half of the game. Can they red-card announcers?

That would be terrific if so, because there is one extremely irritating one which keeps screaming
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!
for what seems like an eternity before he finally either passes out or someone shuts him up!

As for me, I will cheer for anyone outside of the USUAL SUSPECTS GROUP; they being Brasil, Germany, Italy (who did not qualify) France, Argentina, Uruguay, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal.

With Mexico out, hopefully Colombia will do great! Also pulling for Japan.
