Regardless of condescending opinions, I could not be more proud of the 2019 US Women's World Cup Team. All I see is a gutsy group of athletes giving their best, leaving it all on the pitch for the sake of Championship glory. If that sounds patronizing, so be it. I am loving each match and cannot wait for tomorrows game between the US and England.

I'd rather watch the women actually PLAY.THE.GAME than see these men players flop around for 60 of the 90 minutes.

Surprised Sweden beat Germany, Netherlands/Sweden will be a good game Wednesday.
Surprisingly, England has actually allowed less goals than the US has so far (1 to 2), but I'd still peg the US as a solid goal to goal and a half favorite. The US wins they are easily beating whoever wins the Netherlands/Sweden game (my guess Sweden), but Sweden/England or Netherlands/England will overall be a better contest than Sweden/Netherlands vs. US will be, so I'll just say I wouldn't be disappointed if England pulled off this upset.
I'll go US 3-0 and Sweden 2-1 (PK's) in the semifinals.

Still my favorite play from this WWC:

Watch the slow-mo at 0:58. I've seen a lot of guys not pull that off.

Youve seen a lot of guys not head the ball and score ? Was a good goal but ... pretty standard as far as heading goes.

What would that prove? If they win, they beat up on some teen-age lads. If not, they get more ridicule. No, I wouldn't bother feeding the haters.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of guys miss an oblique header like that while being tightly marked and bumped just before the ball arrived. At the pro level, and in the best leagues. Many will end up heading it at the goalie, or outside the goal box; not into the upper corner.
