didnt Watford sack their manager even before Bournemouth had lost to Southampton. I think Watford can nick a point against my Gunners, expect them to survive at the cherries expense

yep Pearson got the sack. Doesn't make sense especially with only 2 games remaining. Watford has gone through managers so quickly, the owners have the shortest leash possible on these managers. Don't think they have a chance against City but the Gunners have to rest for the FA Cup so Watford may be just good enough. Hayden Mullins is the new manager, he led Watford's U-23's this year. I expect Bournemouth to be able to pick up a win at Everton, Everton have been miserable since the restart

Aston Villa scrapped out a win over Arsenal and Watford got rolled by Man City, so Villa with the slight edge right now. Man U & West Ham both fighting for their lives tomorrow (for different reasons) should be the match to watch.

There is a good chance Brentford get promoted, they haven't been in the top division since the 1946-47 season.

Today's the final day for the Championship so we will find out. It's between Brentford, West Brom, and Fulham, with Brentford having the easiest match and best goal differential.

In the Prem Villa got it done, but Watford get what they deserve after sacking Nigel Pearson. its easier for Bournemouth too, they simply need a win and for Villa and the Hornets to lose to stay up. Although at this point I don't trust Gunners to beat the Hornets, and West Ham may be unmotivated as they know they're safe.

its ridiculous how exiciting the Championship has been today. Man Utd v West Ham and Liverpool v Chelsea are nice but the Championship is where all the action has been. Brentford had a massive opportunity after West Brom drew but lost to a team who's been relegated. Fulham drew with Wigan denying their chance. West Brom will move up next year as well, playoffs for Brentford, Fulham, Cardiff, and Nottingham Forest. The way English football runs on the final day is brilliant.

Now for everybody who escapes Watford, Villa, or Bournemouth?

edit: Wigan has a 12-point deduction this year which relegates them and saves Barnsley

holy crap did you see what just happened between Swansea and Forest, a few weeks ago Forest were a lock for a play off spot and they had a few bad results and ended up seventh. Last day of the season football is simply thrilling

yep that is unbelievable. For those who say soccer is boring just watch the Championship, its more competitive and more fun than the Prem. Anyone can win it as opposed to the Premier League when unless its a weird year one of 6 clubs will win the title. Depending on how the playoffs go we could have a Welsh team in the Prem next year

i hear you i have mates back in England who support Championships sides (WBA for example) and they all say they prefer the excitement f challenging for the top of that league over being in the EPL, granted more money but having no realistic hope of anything better than mid table and getting creamed by the Manchester sides and Liverpool week in week out, it really is a true fans league
