I find the REAL football (what we call "soccer" here in the states) much more enjoyable to watch than American football. The rivalries are much more intense, the crowds are much more into the game, and the action is pretty much non-stop for 90 straight minutes (+ extra time)! After watching hockey and soccer, I find it hard to watch any other sports, theyre just too boring and slow.

Try box lacrosse, too.

Really? I suggest you go to a Texas vs OU, Ohio St vs Michigan, Auburn vs Bama game then get back to me.

I was born in Austin Texas spent the majority of my youth there, so while I did not attend the school I spent more than four years in Austin.

So are they the Austin Longhorns or the University of Texas Longhorns?

This is the DUMBEST argument anyone can make. You don't have to attend a school to be a true fan. I pay the same if not MORE for my tickets to Texas games. I'm pretty sure the amount I spend on UT merchandise pays for a good chunk of the coaches salary. Dumb argument you have.

I suggest you go to a Rangers-Celtic or Boca-River game.

Or, um....Finn Harps-Derry City.

College football is cute, but the system is totaly flawed. A computer generated national championship game is an absolute joke.....

I went to a rivalry college football game quite a few years back (purdue-Indiana) and have never been more a bored at a sporting event in my entire life. I just can't get into constant stop start, stop start, stop start type sports like American football. I'm more into sports with constant flow like football (soccer), hockey and rugby. But to each his own I suppose.

Well, geez, it was Purdue-Indiana! Can it be much of a rivalry when both teams suck?

And while I enjoy soccer, even it can get boring when there isn't much flow to the game.
