I can't stand Cristiano Ronaldo. His attitude just sickens me sometimes, although I cannot deny he is an awesome player. I'd have to say I am more of a Kaka fan, though. I used to really dislike Wayne Rooney also (I pretty much was anti-ManYoo) but he's really changed in my mind, and I really enjoy watching him play now.
Just crushed to see that Argentina got crushed by Brazil. I was really hoping my team would pound Brazil, but it was not to be...

I didn't like Cristiano Ronaldo either -- but this past season he has really matured. He's cut out a lot of the fancy-footwork-with-no-end-product and the diving. I do like Kaka's play better though -- it doesn't look like he does anything special, but he just glides by defenders as if they're statutes.
Not a big Rooney fan -- too inconsistent. It'll be interesting to see Tevez at ManU if the transfer ever goes through. He was magnificent for West Ham in the last part of the season, and looks like a good fit for English football.

I was thinking the same thing while watching the Copa final. Brazil didn't look very Brazil like. But I guess you can't argue with the result.

You can't really fault Brazil though. They are moving on. The Roberto Carlos/Rivaldo/Ronaldo era seems to be over already, and they're ushering in the new era with an inexperienced coach (but former captain) in Dunga, and players from everywhere...I mean, when you have Carvalho and Vagner Love both playing in Russia, both playing incidentally enough for CSKA Moskow, you know something is up with the new team.
I'm excited to see what happens with them. Argentina will always be my #1, but I can't wait to see the next generation for Brazil, especially when the players in Eastern Europe have to move to bigger clubs. Argentina's next generation should ensue soon, with Hiaguin, Sergio Augero, Gago, both Milito's (Gabriel and Diego), Tevez...it's an exciting time to be a CONMEBAL fan...
Any predictions for Galaxy/Chelsea (sans Beckham) or the Allstars/Celtic? Chelsea should win easily (heck, if Tigres can beat the Galaxy 3-0, Chelsea should have no problem) and I think the Allstars will pull it out...Cunningham will be MVP (guess).

So who do you think will win on Saturday? Chelsea or Galaxy? Who'll be the best player on either team?

Galaxy stinks this year so I gotta go with Chelsea, and I don't think it'll make a big difference whether Beckham plays or not. Soccer is the ultimate "team" sport and I don't think one person makes a difference unlike Basketball. We'll see, but right now I say, Chelsea 4-1.

Sorry, but at best a MLS team is Championship level. The only way Chel$ki won't win is if they play all their youths or they received some sort of pay-off to intentionally lose.

Manchester United is my favorite team. But I basically follow the entire UEFA Champions League.
