Australia up by 2 likely means Serbia will be bounced and Ghana will play US. I believe we owe Ghana for something don't we?

Ghana ranked #32 in both FIFA and ESPN lists
http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/ra...llranking.html
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/spi/ran...cc=5901&ver=us

After dusting off Ghana, US will face Uruguay (rated 16 & 7) - S Korea (rated 47 & 19) winner. Then on to semis where Brazil awaits.

Partie deux.

Two Germany '06 rematches in 2nd Round: Ghana vs. USA, and Argentina vs. Mexico.

Can't believe Germany scratched only one goal against the aimless Ghana.

U.S. has a fair shot at making top 4. They have a much easier path after finishing 1st in their group. Ghana and possibly Uruguay (if both win) will be tough but both are beatable

Unless Ghana starts scoring goals in regulation time and without the help of penalties, it's USA onto Final 8. USA should continue to play the way they did in 2nd half against Slovenia, and block all of Ghana's shots. Shouldn't be difficult since Ghana heavily favors 1-man set-ups.

This is the most exciting world cup for USA in the history. Just when you think USA is eliminated, they keep the hopes alive.

Who will USA play next?

Ghana is next! I like Ghana, they are a solid, fun to watch team... Hope the US plays well and can get past them.

While I'm still pumped from earlier today, I have to disagree with this statement. The 2002 World Cup, in which we beat Portugal and narrowly lost to Germany in the quarterfinals, still tops it for me. We still have to beat that.

No, we play Ghana next. Germany gets England, which is OK by me -- that gets one of those teams out of the tournament.
