A seriously your nearly as funny as the Australians who think now that they are in Asia its a big deal to qualify (sure when they where in Oceania they still struggled to get in). Try qualifiying out of Europe, thats the daddy of the qualification. Africa and South America are decent standard qualifiers.

The US would struggle big time if it had to qualify out of Europe, to be honest everyone in the World would maybe even Brazil and Argentina.

Yeah, but so many teams qualify out of Europe it essentially balances out. Teams like Slovenia are able to qualify out of Europe, for example.

Although the Americans are in a relatively easy region to get through, I will grant you that. Mexico is tough, but since 3.5 teams make it out of North America, there is no need to finish ahead of the Mexicans in the final group standings. Just finish ahead of all the Central American and Caribbean countries (plus Canada) and you're in. Usually that third country to get in from North America is three-and-done at the World Cup (hopefully Honduras will put an end to that trend, but I just don't see it happening).

But, with that said, Europe is not horribly difficult to get out of. Especially considering that pretty much half the World Cup field is from there.

Wishful thinking.

USA still isn't ready, and may never be quite ready to take on the world's best. Do I wish they were ready? Sure... but again, wishful thinking.

Pancho,

Brazil, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Uruguay,etc... had to win it sometime, so does the USA. Do not underestimate the USA, I said they will make some noise and make it to the top 4. I wish they'd win it all, but top 4 would be nice; it can be done.

Asia is easy to qualify out of, thats why we joined the confederation, dont know who makes a big deal out of it?

Oceania was a joke, even the likes of Spain and Germany would struggle to qualify if they spent 4 years playing with their 3rd or 4th string side against some pacific islands and New Zealand.
Only to have to beat a south american opponent in their only meaningfull match once every 4 years.

Anyway the USA dont have a chance but their group is not that hard they may make it to the second round.

Think we will have a south amercian winner this year.

Of course it wont happen.

The US is a second tier team at best...and it will always be the way.

Long Live Brasil!

I think it's not possible US wins the group, because england won all of the matches of the qualifies. England is one of the favorite for this world cup. But i think US could be win with Germania at the second round.... i hope! in the US there are many players who play in the best europe's leagues.

greetings from Italy
