Well, well, well.
Rooney is in the Utd starting line-up today.
Strange starting 11, includes Nani, Gibson and ANDERSON.
A gamble by Fergie? We will see.
No Scholes, Giggs and Berbatov.
5 in midfield again. Rafael for Neville.
Come on you Reds!

Liverpool anyone?
Man Utd a few seasons back (05-06), was last in the group of Villareal, Benfica and Lille.
So, to say that Bayern Munich is like "free pass" to semi finals is just ludicrous.
They are strong and expereinced and have very good manager who has healthy record in the CL.
Return leg will be tough one for Utd and now without Rooney it seems even more complicated.
But they have only themselves to blame for this situation.
Still, 2:1 from the first leg is not a bad result and there is a good chance to progress.
Let's just hope Berbatov will perform and finally prove the critics wrong.
C'mon United!
Robben!!

Wow!! I guess you were right! Though I'm sure when you posted this you really didn't believe Bayern had much of a chance..

Watching MU blow that lead and get eliminated almost makes up for Arsenal's loss...almost.

It is not luck, they should've put this tie in bed since the first leg.
They didn't and that late late goal in Munich turned out to be decisive.
With all the experience they have this shouldn't have happened.
Well, not a good year fo EPL teams in CL this time around.

Raphael needs to be taken out back and shot. Ferguson's nightmares with S. American "talent" continue.

Actually that comment is unfair to players like Antonio Valencia, but yet another player from the traditional powerhouses of Arg/Bra/Uru adds himself to the Old Trafford "hall of shame"

Me neither. Bayern Munich did the same thing against Fiorentina in the last round. At least theres still hope for the EPL title.

Yeah, but I can't see where Chelsea can lose and drop points except for their away game at Liverpool.
And can you imagine if L'pool do us a favour and beat Chelsea and ManU wins the title?
I want to see that.
Still, Utd have to win all their games, which includes Man City away.

And the Reds go marching on, on, on

Well Liverpool need to beat Chelsea to further their own ambitions for 4th place. They can't afford to lose a game just to stick it to their rivals.
