I love soccer but these preseason friendlies are lost on me (as are most friendlies). The quality of play is lacking big time. They are just a showcase, so if you aren't bringing your camera, I'm not sure what they are good for.

It accomplishes a number of things. First, the EPL teams are in preseason and need to play teams to prepare. Second, they make a ton of money. Third, it gets people to come out to see MLS teams that normally do not in hopes they will come back. Fourth, it creates publicity.

I could go on but I think you get the point. These games do very well. This may be the one and only time Manchester United ever comes to KC. Why not enjoy it?

My take on it is like RjRobb2, besides, how many times do you get to see an EPL team like Man U in person? I went to watch Chelsea play Club America last year in Jerry's world and it was great.
